MotoSkills ("the App") is developed and published by Travis Parsons ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.
Short version: Almost all data stays entirely on your device. The only personal information we ever receive is your email address — and only if you voluntarily choose to provide it.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party. It is not backed up to any cloud service by the App (though your device's own backup system, such as iCloud or Google Backup, may back up app data as part of a full device backup — this is controlled by your device settings, not by us).
When you first open the App, you may optionally provide your email address. If you choose to do so, your email is added to our mailing list (managed via Brevo) and used exclusively to:
We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your email address with any third party for any purpose. Providing your email is entirely optional — all features of the App are available whether or not you provide it. You can update or remove your email at any time in the App's Settings screen, or by contacting us at support@motoskills.app.
We do not collect, receive, or have access to any of the following:
The App provides optional instructional videos hosted on YouTube (a Google service). When you choose to watch a video within the App, your device connects to YouTube's servers to stream that video. At that point, Google's standard data practices apply — Google may collect data such as your IP address, device information, and viewing activity in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.
We have no control over and no access to any data collected by Google/YouTube when you watch a video.
Videos are entirely optional. All drill content, animations, and practice tracking work fully offline — you never need to watch a video or connect to the internet to use the core features of the App.
The App does not integrate with Google Analytics, Firebase, Apple Analytics, Meta (Facebook) SDK, Crashlytics, Sentry, any advertising network, or any social media platform.
Purchases of the App are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Their respective privacy policies govern any data collected during the purchase transaction. We do not receive your payment details.
The App is intended for adults who hold or are pursuing a motorcycle license. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable under GDPR). Because the App collects no data at all, it cannot inadvertently collect children's data.
Because all data remains on your device and is never transmitted, there is no server-side data for us to secure. Your data is as secure as your device itself. We recommend using your device's built-in security features (passcode, biometric lock) to protect your local app data.
To delete all local data associated with the App:
To remove your email address from our mailing list, update or remove it in the App's Settings screen, or contact us at support@motoskills.app and we will remove it promptly. If you are located in the EU or UK, you also have the right to access, correct, or erase any personal data we hold about you under GDPR.
If we update this policy, we will post the revised version at the same URL and update the "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be noted in the App's update release notes. Your continued use of the App after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By downloading, installing, or using the MotoSkills application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of the App.
MotoSkills is a reference and practice-planning tool designed to help licensed motorcycle riders supplement their skills training. The App provides structured drills, session logging, and progress tracking for off-road practice environments such as parking lots and closed courses.

Motorcycle riding is an inherently dangerous activity. Risks include but are not limited to: serious physical injury, permanent disability, and death. These risks exist regardless of your skill level, experience, or the care you take.

The information in this App is provided for general educational and practice-planning purposes only. It is not professional riding instruction, and no instructor-student relationship is created by your use of the App.
The App links to instructional videos hosted on YouTube. By watching these videos, you are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or accuracy of third-party videos. Videos are provided for supplemental educational purposes only.
You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing motorcycle operation, licensing, and the use of any practice area. Always obtain any required permission before using private or restricted property for practice.
All content in the App, including text, graphics, drill descriptions, animations, and the App's design, is owned by or licensed to Travis Parsons and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any App content without our express written permission.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, AND WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY CONTENT IN THE APP.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Travis Parsons AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OF ANY NATURE; LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS; OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN MOTORCYCLE RIDING ACTIVITIES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Travis Parsons and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Colorado, United States, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Note: If you are in the EU or UK, applicable consumer protection laws may grant you rights that cannot be waived by contract. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit those rights.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at the same URL with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
